Shouts from Steve - February 23, 2010

February 23, 2010

Good Tuesday Morning:

So, I'm driving home Saturday, blasting live Neil Young (I just wish my car stereo would go louder than '31' - ask about one of my favorite concerts, certainly my favorite NY concert - and I know how much you all enjoy live loud NY), enjoying thoughts of a fun day of swimming, and thinking about a long hot bath when I get home.  Oops, power out as a transformer on our street blew.  Oh well....No, I really do like cold showers.

KYSL Champs

Parents, thanks for your help and work at the meet.  You carried more than your fair share of the work burden.  I really appreciate it.

Swimmers of the Meet are Katie Korberna, Hannah Mancuso, and Grace Tothero.  They all swam well and represented SCAY very well.

Awards                        All KYSL awards have been distributed.  Trophies are on tables under our bulletin board.  Medals and ribbons are in your folders.  Please pick these up as soon as possible.
Team Record
In the 8/U girls 25 yard butterfly, Grace Dangelo set a SCAY Team Record.  Congratulations Grace!  That makes two this season.
KYSL Records           The following are KYSL records SCAY swimmers set Saturday.  As you can see, all records broken were held by SCAY swimmers.

Last Chance

We have our Last Chance District qualifier this Saturday.  All SCAY swimmers are invited to participate, whether or not they are close to District times.  We will be signing up in our normal dual meet fashion - coaches asking the kids at practices and parents emailing me with the information.  We will not swim relays and 8/U will participate in 10/U events (no 8/U events at Districts).  Click here to view entries.
