Dear SCAY Families and Friends,

The State College Area YMCA Swim Team will once again be co-hosting the prestigious YMCA State Championships Meet at the McCoy Natatorium on Saturday and Sunday, March 20 & 21.  This two-day event will bring more than 5000 swimmers, friends, families and team personnel to Centre County to dine, shop and sleep.  The people visiting State College for "States" provide significant financial opportunities for our local businesses.

If you own a business or have family who does, we hope you will consider the purchase of program advertising.  This year, we are pleased to announce the launch of our new website that will enable out of town participants the opportunity to research hotels, restaurants and merchants before traveling here.  All program advertisers will receive a link on our website at no additional cost this year.  The website is particularly important since many swimmers don't know until two weeks before the State Meet if they qualify to participate in this State competition.  Access to quick, accurate information is essential.  Each advertising option below will include a link to your website located on the State College Area page of the site:  http://www.ymcastates-pa.org/. 

Hosting Pennsylvania's YMCA Championship is a huge undertaking.  Over 500 community volunteers donate their time to this meet to recognize the efforts of Pennsylvania's best YMCA age-group swimmers.  Because our swim team is financially self-supporting we rely on the proceeds from this event to defray our operating costs.  These costs include, but are not limited to, pool rentals, coaches' salaries, and team administration.  With your help we can continue to provide a program that promotes a healthy mind, body, and spirit for all.
