Aqualaps: A big thanks to all of the swimmers who participated and all the parent volunteers for making Aqualaps fun and successful. Mare sure to get any outstanding donations in the box at the Y registration desk. A huge thanks again to Joan Schrock for organizing this event!
Communications Update: Now that most of the swimmer registrations are in, the file folders have been updated. A big thanks to Heather Jordan for doing this. Please let me know if you do not have a folder and we will make sure we make one for you. Also, we still don’t have emergency forms completed for many of the swimmers. I have put these in your folders. Please complete them ASAP and put them in the Koberna folder. In the unlikely event of emergency, it is very important that we quickly know who to contact and if there are any health problems that might influence care.
Halloween Meet: The Halloween Meet is this Sunday at Williamsport. (see directions below – allow 70 minute drive time) Pool opens at 8:15. Warm-ups begin for swimmers 12 and under at 8:45. Meet starts at 9:45. Warm-ups for 13 and over start at 12:00. The afternoon portion of the meet starts at 1:00pm. Don’t forget that we “Fall Back” on Sunday. For new parents: Many parents stay in the gymnasium (to be with their children/avoid the heat etc) for portions of the meet. You may want to consider bringing comfortable chairs, a blanket or extra towels for your child, sweat pants/shirt for your child, and some extra snacks. Games or other activities are also nice to have for the little ones. Don’t hesitate to call me or ask a veteran about what to expect!
Williamsport Halloween Meet at Williamsport High School
*Take 80 East to Exit 178 Lock Haven/Rt. 220 North*Turn left at the bottom of the ramp
*Continue on Rt. 220 to Williamport
*As you are approaching Williamsport, shortly after the town of Linden,
you'll see the 4th street/Williamsport exit. There's a small sign
"Williamsport High School" at the top of the ramp. Take this exit and
follow the road as it bends (no turn at the bottom of the ramp) toward
Williamsport.
*The meet is in the high school pool which is located at 2990 West 4th
Street, appx. 2 miles after the exit. However, you can't see the school
from 4th Street, only a sign for Williamsport High School.. Turn left at
the sign for the high school and go up the long, steep hill to the school.Have fun and swim fast! Jenny
