Aqualaps is an intra-squad swimming event in which swimmers solicit contributions from sponsors. The event will be held on Sunday October 25, 2009 beginning at 1:00 in the afternoon. The event follows a relay, swim-a-thon format, which makes it a fun day for everyone, builds team spirit, and raises money for the swim team. This year our goal is $ 15,000.
Individual swimmers are being asked to collect $ 150 in donations. If there are multiple swimmers in one family, the family of swimmers is requested to collect $ 250 in donations. All swimmers reaching this goal will be recognized with a SCAY latex swim cap. Swimmers raising $ 500 or more in donations will automatically join the 500-Club and will be recognized with a 500-club T-Shirt.
Parents: please plan to have your swimmer involved and come volunteer to help out as well.
